Description

The Teltonika 650 series sits at the top of the range and is the only one that covers heavy freight requirements. The main difference against smaller models is the sheer number of connections: four digital inputs, four outputs and four analogue inputs. That is enough for a vehicle with several fuel probes, body sensors, a refrigeration unit and an immobiliser at once. Two RS232 interfaces and one RS485 accept equipment smaller models cannot connect at all — printers, handheld scanners, industrial sensors. The device can download tachograph data remotely, removing manual card handling. A microSD slot up to 32 GB means tracking continues where there is no signal: data is written locally and transferred once the connection returns. For trucks on long routes through poorly covered areas, that is the difference between a complete and a patchy driving history. FMC650 runs on 4G LTE, FMM650 on LTE-M with better reach indoors. Both have dual-band L1+L5 GNSS for a more accurate position between tall buildings, Bluetooth 5.2 and dual SIM. A note for existing customers: FMC650 is connector-compatible with the older FMC640 — the connector is identical across all twenty pins, so existing wiring harnesses stay in use.
