Description

A GPS tracker knows where the vehicle is. A CAN adapter tells it what is happening inside the vehicle. The adapter connects to the CAN bus and passes the tracker data the vehicle already calculates: dashboard fuel level, total consumption, mileage by the vehicle's own counter, engine RPM, working hours, door status and fault codes. Without an adapter these figures are estimated from the GPS route — fine for an overview, not for fuel accounting. You need an adapter with the 110, 120, 130 and 650 models. The FMC150 does not require one — its CAN is built in. **LV-CAN200** covers passenger and light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses, including electric ones. It reads around twelve core parameters. For most fleets this is the right choice. **ALL-CAN300** reads more than a hundred parameters and, beyond road vehicles, covers agricultural, construction and mining machinery. It additionally reads the VIN, AdBlue level, Webasto heating and electric vehicle battery data. **CAN-CONTROL** is aimed at car sharing — besides reading, it allows locking and unlocking. It supports passenger cars only and does not work with the 650 series. **ECAN02** is not a standalone adapter but a contactless add-on that reads the bus without cutting wires.
